Brains are the main currency of Zombie Farm. They can be used to buy boosts and premium items.
There are three main ways to get brains:
- Win them through a successful Invasion
- Purchase them through an In-App Purchase
- They can be won in the Wheel of Brain
Converting[]
Brains can be converted to gold, but the two are not interchangeable, as there is no way to convert Gold back to Brains.
There are three converting methods:
- Convert 1 Brain to 1,000 Gold
- Convert 4 Brains to 5,000 Gold (20% off)
- Convert 7 Brains to 10,000 Gold (30% off)
Brain Fragments[]
Brain Fragments could be earned by downloading and opening (running) certain apps. They were found in the Market under the others tab. You could be awarded anywhere from 17 - 32 fragments for free apps but you could potentially of earned hundreds of Brain Fragments from purchased apps. Once 100 Brain Fragments were earned they would automatically be converted into a Brain upon opening the Market.
Brain Fragments were first available in Version 0.75
Brain Fragments were removed in Version 0.880 in favour of the brainiac pack.
Wheel of Brains[]
In Version 1.01 onwards instead of a daily surprise you could have a shot on a roulette wheel which gives you a slightly higher chance of winning a Brain each day you don't spin it giving you a 100% chance of a brain every 12 days!

- from Version 0.84 onwards, the given XP changed on items that are purchased with Brains:
- Decor: Brain amount x 100 XP
- Limited Decor: Brain amount x 120 XP
- Functional: Brain amount x 80 XP
- Before Version 0.870 the chance of winning a Brain was displayed when selecting which enemy you wanted to invade. The first time you unlock an invasion your chance for a Brain will always be Excellent but the chance will decrease as you level up with your chance going from Good, Decent, Low, Horrible to Abysmal.
