Specialising in mobile app development, their first title was Chore Hero, a productivity app. Following the moderate success of Chore Hero, the company moved into mobile games development and released their next title Zombie Farm in 2010. The game received over 2 milllion downloads between 2010 and 2012 and topped the 'Highest Grossing' charts several weeks in a row. During this period the company grew to its present number (11-50 employees).
Zombie Life, their next title, was released on October 13th, 2011, continuing The Playforge's zombie tradition.
On the 30th March 2012, The Playforge released their third title, Tree World, their first game unrelated to zombies.
In early April 2012, The Playforge announced a sequel to its popular game Zombie Farm, affectionately titled Zombie Farm 2, hinting "More Brains!". The app was subsequently released worldwide on April 23rd, 2012.
On the 2nd of August, Saban Brands announced its aquisition of The Playforge, leading to its subsequent renaming to Playforge Games, LLC. On the same day, Playforge Games also announced the development of their fifth title through a screenshot of the game.
